How to choose and check the stability of the attachments? Carrying out a suitability study is necessary in order to choose the type of attachment suitable for your lifting solution (depending on the type and length of your suspended platform as well as the number and load capacities of your lifting winches): beams of FIXAPOUTRE suspension, parapet brackets, FIXEO mast system.

HANGING SYSTEMS FOR SUSPENDED PLATFORMS

Lightweight and modular in design, our suspended platforms, intended for professionals in Building, Industry, Wind Power and Elevators, offer numerous solutions for lifting people on site and absolutely require standard or “custom-made” hangings or suspension devices. Also remember to regularly check the stability of your attachments in order to prevent work accidents.

Depending on the work to be carried out, a suitability study must be carried out beforehand in order to determine the type and length of the platform as well as the winches and their load capacity. This study will also lead to choosing the appropriate type of hanging : FIXAPOUTRE S suspension beams, parapet brackets, FIXEO mast system or to create tailor-made solutions.

 SUSPENSION BEAMS

FIXAPOUTRE 6 - suspension beam for hanging people lifting devices on roofs
Suspension beams are used on a roof and must be installed on supports presenting stable distribution surfaces, capable of receiving lowering loads.

Mobile, they must be installed on a track.

The ballast of each beam is fundamental and is calculated according to the following formula:

P = Ballast value of each beam
VS = Winch Capacity
l = Overhang (distance between the front support and the lifting cable)
L = Distance between the front support and the rear support of the beam
It is important to check that the area which receives the ballast and that where the action is carried out R, has sufficient strength. A distribution of charges must be carried out if necessary. It is necessary to use FIXATOR counterweights and securely attach them to the beam so that they can only be removed by voluntary action (excluding liquids and granulated materials).

We recommend checking (see diagram below):

Roof anchor points for lifting people
    1. The counterweight: lock and exact number;
    2. The slings: are they tight?
    3. The end stops and the screws on the suspension beams: are they all present?

ROPE CONSOLES

The parapet brackets work on the principle of a clamp which is fixed on a wall thickness ranging from 0.15 to 0.50 meters.

It is imperative to:

    1. Check the capacity/resistance of the parapet;
    2. Check if the admissible load by the parapet console is related to the maximum capacity of the winch;
    3. Secure the rear part of the parapet bracket to another point of the structure;
    4. Adjust the center distance of the parapet brackets to that of the suspended platform stirrups;
    5. Protect any waterproofing coatings to avoid punching phenomena;
    6. Test the installation after assembly and before use in accordance with current regulations;
    7. Regularly check the condition of the various elements of the parapet clamp.

MAST PLATFORMS: FIXEO

FIXEO - mast platform

FIXEO mast-suspended platforms are used when no roof hanging is possible.

Each of the two bases rests on the ground on four jacked bases. The masts are fixed by mooring on the facade. The system FIXEO increases working comfort thanks to great stability ensured by rigid guidance. From 2 to 12 meters long and up to 100 meters high, it is possible to use as many masts as necessary to cover the facade. The platform controls remain independent of each other.

It is imperative to:

    1. Install the bases in an appropriate manner on stable and supporting ground;
    2. Fix the anchors correctly on the wall, according to the specifications provided.
