Working and safety steel cable (also called primary and secondary steel wire-rope) for cable hoists

The working cable for a cable winch is used for works at height with Fixator electric, manual or pneumatic wire rope hoists for lifting loads or people.

For personnel lifting using a suspended cable platform fitted with a Securichute/Securistop safety blocks or load arrestersa safety cable is also mandatory.

In professional jargon, you may hear references to:

• Steel lifting cable for Tirfor / Minifor hoist;

• Cable for flying cradles or cable-suspended platforms..

Depending on your Fixator lifting winch, whether it is an electric winch, a manual winch or a pneumatic hoistplease use the steel cable diameter recommended by the supplier (you can also find this on the winch plate) to ensure optimal use and avoid any risk of accident.
