Fixator to showcase Exolift wind turbine ladder climbing aid at WindEnergy 2024
Exolift reduces physical effort by 80% and significantly increases the ascent time in the wind tower
From September 24 to 27, 2024, Fixator was very proud to exhibit our climb assist system, the Exolift, at the leading onshore and offshore wind industry trade fair WindEnergy in Hamburg, Germany.
Designed to reduce physical and cardiac efforts for wind technicians who have to climb the ladder inside the wind turbine masts relying only on their strength, this machine can also be used in case of power outage or power failure preventing any use of wind lifts.
Connected to a strap fixed to both ends of the ladder by means of a fixing bracket and counterweight system, the Exolift weighs the user and then supports 80% of his/her weight, All by adapting to its speed and stopping if the operator takes breaks along the route.
More efficient maintenance and/or repair operations while preserving the health of your operators at a lower cost!
In fact, thanks to its ease of transport and its battery operation making it a portable and autonomous product (for an estimated operating time of 10 round trips of 80 meters), only one Exolift is required per wind park or team of technicians.
Only the installation of the strap on each wind turbine ladder will be required, for an installation time not exceeding 30 minutes and very limited and low maintenance costs!
Installation training is required before any first use on site at the user's premises or at the Fixator head office in Angers, 2 hours from Paris.
