Working and safety steel cable (also called primary and secondary steel wire-rope) for cable hoists

The working cable for a cable winch is used for works at height with Fixator electric, manual or pneumatic wire rope hoists for lifting loads or people.

For personnel lifting using a suspended cable platform fitted with a Securichute/Securistop safety blocks or load arresters, a safety cable is also mandatory.

In professional jargon, you may hear references to:

• Steel lifting cable for Tirfor / Minifor hoist;

• Cable for flying cradles or cable-suspended platforms..

Depending on your Fixator lifting winch, whether it is an electric winch, a manual winch or a pneumatic hoist, please use the steel cable diameter recommended by the supplier (you can also find this on the winch plate) to ensure optimal use and avoid any risk of accident.
